Entrepreneur is a lifestyle! Before we share more on the event’s happenings, let me share with you briefly what is SME International Trade Association (SMiTA):

SME International Trade Association of Malaysia (SMITA), is a non-profit organisation that encourages SMEs to go global by organising meetings & trade missions, international trade conferences and educational seminars. SMITA will facilitate and nurture SMEs entrepreneurs to the global arena by providing training, expertise and support services.

Objectives

  • Foster the growth and development of SMEs in international trade for the growth of the Malaysian’s economy.
  • Act as an intermediary to facilitate interaction between SMEs with the Government and the world market.
  • Strengthen economic ties between the SMEs and providing opportunities for export growth.
  • Dissemination of information and the latest market risk research so that SMEs entrepreneurs in Malaysia are able to compete in the international market.
  • To promote upskilling of members’ human resources to increase productivity and producing quality products and services.
SMITA, Tower Regency Hotel
SMiTA is having a biz.talk event from 2.30pm to 6.00pm at Tower Regency Hotel on 30 Nov 2015 together with invited speakers’ sharing: MIDA & AMBANK.

Megane and Mary, secretary general
The event kicks off with SMiTA’s introduction by the Secretary General, Mary Low and opening speech by SMiTA’s President, Megane Soo. The speech from both of them are really eye opening to the participants. Their sharing is supported with facts and figures which is able to give our business friends a shiver and the huge export market of 620 million population in ASEAN!
Mida speaks
MIDA director and his assistant are doing sharing on how the Malaysian government supports our local Malaysian industries in capturing the export market. Malaysian industries loose billions of Ringgit Malaysia at mismanage of export exchange rates. Therefore, Ms Li- Ching Ho from Corporate Client Group Sales (AMBANK) shares with the participants on Foreign Exchange Risk Management.

Mr CG Huan from Sterling Circle Sdn. Bhd. as the emcee of the event while CK Chong as the event organizing chairman delivers the closing speech to the participants and at the same time encouraging them to venture out and make our Malaysian Made Products stand tall!
